The Klarity BiteLok®* is an improved, innovative design for simple positioning of the teeth and tongue. The teeth are securely indexed with dental putty. Optional tongue depressors and diverters allow the tongue to be gently leveraged out of the treatment path.

How It Works:

The BiteLok is a biteblock made of a rigid, manageable mouthpiece with an open airway. Fast-setting dental putty is wrapped around the mouthpiece to index to the patient’s teeth. No water or warming is needed to activate the putty.

Once the dental putty is firm, a thermoplastic mask is placed overtop. While the mask is still warm, a hands-free Quickfit™ tool forms the mask around the edges of the BiteLok mouthpiece. The result is a comfortable, reproducible mouthpiece that indexes to both patient and mask, that can also be removed for cleaning. Once the mask has fully cured, the BiteLok can be removed from the mask by pushing the corner of the mask inward to release the mouthpiece.

Optional tongue depressors and tongue diverters allow for additional conformability. The depressors and diverters help leverage the tongue to the right, left, up or down depending on treatment needs. The accessories can also be removed from the mouthpiece for flexibility in treatment planning.
